The 1755 deportation marked our Acadian people dramatically.
Even though, it as been close to 250 years ago, the deportation is still a popular topic in the news. The Acadian people were deported in different areas of the United-States. Some of theses states were Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Maryland and Virginia. The other States and the number of Acadians deported figures in our Info-guide.

As you can see in the following picture, the Acadian people were left without food and shelter during the deportation. You can see some of these people spending their last moments with their loved ones before they embarked on a boat to the unknown.

The third picture gives you information and images about our native people. As you can see, the natives were practicing outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing. They were using these resources in order to meet their daily needs. In the spring, if one resource was scarce, they would simply use another one in order to survive.
